What is a buyers agent
A selling agent is paid by the owner and works to get them the highest price. A buyers agent is paid by you and is legally bound to work the other way: to find the right property and pay the right price for it.
We search on and off market, inspect on your behalf, value the property independently, and negotiate or bid for you. You see a shortlist worth your weekend, not a hundred listings you have already scrolled past.
Hunter Gather is independent. We take no commissions, kickbacks or referral fees from developers or selling agents.

Take the whole search off your hands, or bring us in for the part that matters most.
We take the whole search off your hands. Brief, search, inspections, shortlist, valuation, negotiation and settlement. You keep your weekends.
You have found the property. We tell you what it is worth, what the risks are, and then negotiate the price on your behalf.
We set the strategy with you beforehand and bid on the day, so you are not making a six-figure decision on the footpath under pressure.
Selling as well as buying. We choose the selling agent, agree the campaign, and hold them to it, without the emotion.

Five stages, and you approve the brief before we start looking.
Thirty minutes on the phone, at no cost. What you are buying, where, and by when. If a buyers agent is the wrong call for you, we will say so on that call.
We write it down: budget, suburbs, must-haves and deal-breakers. Nothing starts until you have read it and agreed that it is right.
On market and off. We inspect, shortlist and report back every week. You only spend a Saturday on properties that have already passed us.
Independent valuation and due diligence, then we negotiate or bid. Our fee is fixed at engagement, so it does not rise with the price we pay.
Building and pest, solicitor, finance and access. We hold the dates together through to the morning you get the keys.
Our agents live in the markets they buy in. That is how we know which side of a road floods and which school catchment is about to move.
